
The roundtable debate “Environmental Nutrition and Health” took place on 11 July 2025. The event was attended by members of the GREENPOL Centre of Excellence, academic experts, and an international team of students from Slovakia, Poland, Serbia, Hungary, and Italy. In addition to the roundtable, the students took part in a multi-day event organized by the Faculty of Biotechnology and Food Sciences, SUA in Nitra.
The programme of the event included a brief presentation of the GREENPOL project, including its concept, objectives, work plan, and implementation methodology. The professional segment of the event focused on nutrition and food-related topics. After a general overview, there was a presentation and discussion on specific regulations within national and EU-level food control systems. The event concluded with a professional lecture on risk factors in food production that may negatively impact human and animal health, followed by an expert-led discussion on prevention and control measures.
